Held on March 9-10 at the Biltmore Miami, the 2016 Procurement Leader’s Americas Congress features cutting-edge content presentations, 49 speakers, meet-and-greet opportunities, and interactive roundtable sessions.
This conference is an opportunity for both new and veteran procurement professionals to question current strategies, learn from real-life case studies, and exchange ideas and best practices that will transform business and lead to future success.

3 simple tips to make the most of your conference experience.
1. Network, network, network.
Hundreds of procurement professionals are attending Procurement Leader’s Americas Congress. That’s a lot of networking opportunities! Research who’s going to be there and know who you want to connect with prior to attending the event.
Make an effort to start conversations and get to know other professionals in attendance. Schedule a coffee talk and come prepared with icebreaker questions. Talk with fellow procurement professionals. Old, young, inexperienced, and industry leaders all have something to offer. You never know where a connection may lead.
2. Be in the moment (not on your phone).
You won’t want to miss a thing, so be sure you’re both physically and mentally present during presentations and conversations. Your phone can wait, knowledge cannot.
Remember, you’re there to make valuable connections and grow both professionally and personally.
3. Over pack and plan for anything.
It’s easy to think you know exactly what you’ll be doing during the two days spent at Procurement Leader’s Americas Congress. But your plans (and the weather) can change quickly.
Pack two extra professional outfits in case of coffee spill or food stains, and one casual outfit for exploring the area surrounding the conference (or should a fun happy hour opportunity arise).
It’s always better to be prepared, have options, and expect the unexpected … even at a procurement conference.
